It all began over 30 years ago with a simple concept: Provide a memorable weekend of FREE world class performances in Erie’s most beautiful park. The festival was the brainchild of John Vanco (then the Director of The Erie Art Museum). For the first 25 years, the Blues & Jazz Fest was the product of the museum. Today, we are our own non-profit organization who have continued the charge of keeping Erie’s most beloved event alive and thriving.
